Markos George Hionos
Markos is a professional photographer for nearly 25 years,
he won many awards had many exhibitions and his work was
published in magazines and books in many countries.He prefers
not to talk about himself but to let the the photos talk for him.
He does not keep cuttings of his work (he cannot see the relevance
of this). But thanks to his graphic designer (she is very organised)
he has folders containing clippings of his work. He has travelled to
several European countries, Pakistan and India,for assignments in
travel and commercial photography.
Markos specialises in travel photography, documentary, editorial,
posters, and on location photography. The photos that he presents
in this portfolio are part of a project with the title CHROMA (COLORS).
These photographs will be published in a book/portfolio during the
summer of 2006.
He uses film cameras for his b&w documentary work and for some
editorial shootings. The last 2-3 years he uses mainly a couple of SLR
Digital cameras for his travel photography, posters and book projects.
For the CHROMA project he is working with digital cameras and 2 Lexar
Professional 80x CF cards.
